Amazon.com Product Description
The Squirt folds down to a tight, easy-to-transport 2-1/4 inches (blue model shown; this listing is for the Storm Gray Squirt). | Leatherman's Squirt P4: Small but Mighty This is the first miniature pliers multitool tough enough to be a Leatherman. The Squirt P4 is ultra-compact, super tough, and weighs just two ounces, making it the perfect multitool to pop into that backpack or slip into those slacks. And for such a tiny unit, the Squirt really packs a lot of tough, functional tools for any occasion. Take it on the road, stuff it into a pocket, throw it in the glove compartment, or take it camping. This little tool is ready to work or play. Most of the tools are accessible from the outside for ease of operation, and the anodized aluminum handles offer rugged yet lightweight protection for decades of use. A handy lanyard attachment hooks easily to a loop on your backpack or key ring, so go ahead and attach the spring-action Squirt P4 to your key ring or backpack. With three screwdrivers, wire cutters, a knife blade and more, the P4 keeps your on-the-go life going. Key User Features The central feature of the Squirt, the pliers, is accessed by rotating the handles open in a quick, easy butterfly maneuver. The blades can be lifted out of the handle using the nail nicks. Just rotate the blades out until they're fully extended. The blades on the squirt are 100-percent high-grade stainless steel, and it can be cleaned, dried, and re-oiled periodically -- and this is recommended, especially after it's used in a damp environment. Small enough to stash anywhere, the Squirt has an integrated lanyard ring for easy storage. | Expand your Squirt's capabilities with genuine Leatherman accessories like the Squirt protective sheath. | Multitool Capabilities: - Needlenose pliers

Very Impressive Mini Multitool December 15, 2007 asdiuaosifpoufposifupoufasifupoufpoifpoifapoduf 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I'm seldom impressed enough with a product to compel me to write a review; but Leatherman certainly deserves some praise for their Squirt. I'm amazed that there are so many useful tools in such a small package. I wanted a small lightweight multitool for backpacking, and the squirt fit the bill perfectly - only 2 ounces! Despite it's small stature the Squirt is no wimp as the tools perform admirably.
I haven't used the Squirt a lot yet, so I can't comment on the long term reliability and performance; for it's size though it seems quite robust.
Leatherman seems to really have their act together. Very smart of them to offer this in various colors and configurations (you have your choice of the model with scissors or pliers).
Some reviewers that have criticisms about this tool seem to forget that the Squirt is a mere 2 ounce micro tool (about the weight of $2 worth of quarters), and you cannot expect it to have all of the features or strength of a full size. Some are upset that the Squirt is so small and have unfairly downgraded its rating as a result. The dimensions are clearly stated in the description, so I don't know how anyone can be surprised by its size. It's a keychain size tool, so don't expect to carve out a Mt. Rushmore with the knife!
The Squirt is 2 ounce engineering marvel. I liked it so much that I just bought another one as a gift.

Great little tool - and I work in an office! October 15, 2006 J. Phipps (Madison, WI United States) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I originially got this for camping trips, but now I keep this tool in my bag for work. I work in an office, just doing computer work (not IT), so you wouldn't think I'd use it there, but I have found so many uses for it! I've used it to pop keys off the keyboard to clean it, open up the jacks in walls when we're remodeling, filing my nails, cutting open packages, prying out heavy duty staples, repairing my glasses, and so much more. Now that my coworkers know I have it, they want to borrow it.
It has all the tools I need - and nothing I wouldn't need (like a corkscrew). Again, I work in an office, and I just love this tool.
Ideal keychain tool... February 14, 2008 Nola Mike 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought a Swiss-tech multitool in addition to the leatherman, as I couldn't initially decide on one. The leatherman is clearly superior. It feels very well made; the pliers really work great. As stated, there isn't a dedicated philips blade, though the straight screwdrivers double to work in philips screws. They'll get the job done in most cases. The only minor gripe I have is that there may be too much in there; I really only need a knife, 1 philips/straight screwdriver, and the pliers. I think that the pliers take up much of the bulk though, so eliminating these other tools wouldn't save much space/weight. If you're concerned about size/weight, and don't need the pliers, you're probably better off with something else (the Utili-key is great); otherwise, the squirt is a nearly perfect keychain tool.
Handy tool to have as keychain. May 6, 2007 K. Demircan It's very handy for something you carry with you all the time. You just take it out whenever you need it. For example, basic cable striping, screwdriver needs, and much more. I use it on a daily basis.
Leatherman Squirt P4 - One Heck of a Bottle Opener July 22, 2007 A. Bojan (Huntington Beach, CA) When I purchased this awesome tool I was originally shopping for a "nice" bottle opener to place on my key chain. Well, this is a whole lot more than just a bottle opener. This multitool is small enough to place on your single ring key chain even with a car remote. But make sure it doesn't share the same pocket as your cellphone since the metal rivets anchoring the pliers will easily scratch your phones plastic case. Pliers (w/wire cutter) are built with quality; no slack and tight gripping strength. Getting the seemingly thin knife blade can sometimes be difficult to swing out. Besides that, this is perfect for anyone who doesn't want to holster a full size Leatherman and still wants to be a recreational McGuyver. And one who wants to open a bottle when thirsty.
